We build hardware. Our roadmap is shared on request. Everything needed to start a serious conversation lives here. The rest we share directly.

How we got here.
European research arrives in Göttingen
We bring research from across Europe to Göttingen and assemble a medical exoskeleton program aimed at restoring human-like dexterity. The founding bet: the intelligence in human action can be transferred to technology, but only through a shared physical instrument.
EXIST Forschungstransfer · €1.1M non-dilutive
We are awarded EXIST Forschungstransfer, one of Germany's most prestigious deep-tech grants, backed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and co-financed by the European Social Fund. It takes the research from the lab to a company, and proves the path from scientific findings to a real industrial product.
The ARTUS-first pivot
We see the core of the problem clearly: it's a compound of technical, certification, data, and user adoption, not any one of them alone. We pivot the go-to-market to a progressive ARTUS-first strategy, building credibility and the operational stack step by step.
ARTUS enters the market
From the Latin articulatio, "joint." ARTUS is released: the first articulated rigid finger exoskeleton to reach the market. A tribute to its ancestry, and the start of real-world deployments.
Spin-off complete · €1.4M round
We formally spin off from the university and close a €1.4M round, underwritten by ARTUS commercial traction and the broader vision: transferring the intelligence of human action to technology.
ARTUS at scale · data phase begins
We culminate the ARTUS deployment: official supplier to several major OEMs, more than a thousand exoskeletons designed, produced, assembled, and deployed. Our hardware scar is ready. With the operational stack proven, we begin sensorizing our hardware to enter the data phase.
CHIROS · the sensorization complete
We complete the sensorization with our first data-embodying instrument for physical-AI-ready dexterity: CHIROS, from the Greek kheir, "of the hand." Preview units are shipping now; the Research Edition ships late summer 2026.
The default play is to build lock-in and slow the field. We're doing the opposite: releasing the instrument so the research accelerates, and competing on what the world builds on top of it.
What we're fundraising for.
Hardware is phase one. The compounding asset is the data and the model built on top of it. This capital takes us through phase two.
Phase 02 · Scaling human-dexterity data
Speed up our capture operation and build the software layer that turns it into the scaled, training-ready corpus. Our data, our contribution to our bigger picture. This is what this round funds.
Partners who take hardware seriously.
Four layers of support, each chosen for what it uniquely brings. Specific terms and cap-table details are shared directly with engaged investors.
Documents, live and requested.
Questions we get asked most.
Is this a hardware business or a data business?
Both, in that order. CHIROS is a hardware product today. The data and models it enables are the compounding asset we invest in for the long term. Our company exists to push the frontier of generalization from the actions space rather than the language space.
Why release the instrument publicly instead of keeping it internal?
Transferring human dexterity to technology is too broad a problem for any single company. Shared instruments create a shared vocabulary across groups doing the same hard work, and the field moves faster when everyone speaks it.
What does commercial traction look like today (May 2026)?
A preview version of CHIROS Research Edition is shipping to partners. An Industrial Edition is in development. Specifics are covered in the investor conversation.
When is the next round?
We are open to introductory conversations with investors who want to build a relationship ahead of any process. Timing is shared directly, not publicly.
